Buffalo Bills add five players to the Reserve/COVID-19 list

Another change this season was the NFL created a Reserve/COVID-19 list for teams to utilize. The list was created for players who tested positive, or may have been in close contact with someone who tested positive. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero breaks down the requirements and how a player can come off the list in this tweet.

The Bills have added five players to the list including Dane Jackson, Siran Neal, Duke Williams, Vincent Taylor and Isaiah Brown. As of this article, the only player left on that list is wide receiver Duke Williams, as WGR550’s Sal Capaccio tweeted.

Buffalo Bills make additional cuts to create roster space

As players come off the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the Buffalo Bills have to make corresponding moves by waiving players to keep their roster size at 81 players. During this time, the Buffalo Bills have released safety Garrett Taylor, running back Antonio Williams, defensive end Jonathan Woodward and linebacker Mike Bell.

There wasn’t many surprises here as all four players were expected to be cuts as the Bills trimmed their roster down leading into the regular season. Two players to watch for is Garrett Taylor and Antonio Williams as they have probably the best chance to returning as members of the practice squad.
