Number 4: Tight End

The Buffalo Bills didn’t add any tight ends this offseason but the development by their younger players last year strengthened the depth at the position. This time last year the Bills had two rookie tight ends (Dawson Knox and Tommy Sweeney) joining Jason Croom and free agent Tyler Kroft, who was out due to a foot injury.

This grouping was pretty unknown but the play of Knox and Sweeney should give the coaching staff much more confidence heading into this coming season. During training camp, Croom and Knox joined Kroft on the sideline due to injuries and it was Sweeney who was the biggest beneficiary.

Entering training camp this year, everyone is healthy and a player like Croom, who was the leading tight end at the end of 2018 could be a roster cut at the end of training camp. The fact that he is on the bubble shows the depth the team has at the position.
