Brian Winters vs. Evan Boehm vs. Ryan Bates

There is no question that the news the Bills would be without Jon Feliciano to start the year was a big blow to the offensive line. One of their strengths entering this year was the fact that all five starters were returning after a year that they performed very well.

One of their strengths was their depth and the expectation was that Spencer Long would be the likely replacement. However, the New York Jets released long time starter Brian Winters and the Bills couldn’t pass up that opportunity, as they signed him to a one-year deal.

He enters the training camp battle as the favorite due to his experience, starting 79 games in seven seasons. However, two names worth watching is Evan Boehm, who the Buffalo Bills signed as a free agent and Ryan Bates, who the Bills traded for last offseason.

The one player worth watching is Bates, who NFL Insider Adam Caplan said the BIlls are very high on.

While Bates knows the system, the Buffalo Bills will likely go with the veteran in this instance.

Winner: Brian Winters
