There are a number of key training camp battles for the Buffalo Bills and these are the players that should win.

While this won’t be the typical training camp for the Buffalo Bills due to the pandemic, and considering the preseason was cancelled, the evaluation process for the coaching staff during this time will be more critical than year’s past. This is due to the fact that in addition to no preseason games, there was also no offseason workouts.

While pressure will be on the coaching staff, it also means that players will be under just as much pressure to perform during these training camp practices. They didn’t have offseason workouts or won’t have those preseason games to make that impact and stake their claim to a starting role on this team.

Entering training camp, there was some starting jobs that could be up for grabs like cornerback, right tackle, kicker and weakside linebacker. However, over the past week or so, other starting jobs have become available. The Bills found out that starting defensive tackle Star Lotulelei had elected to opt out of the upcoming season creating a battle for his role.

In addition to finding a new defensive tackle, the coaching staff will also need to find the best fit at right guard. The team lost starter Jon Feliciano to a chest injury and he will be forced to miss games to start the year.

These are my predictions for who I believe will win each of these training camp battles over the next few weeks.
