Jonathan Woodard and Bryan Cox Jr.

The last two players that will likely be cut prior to training camp is defensive ends Bryan Cox Jr. and Jonathan Woodard. The Buffalo Bills are entering training camp with very little question marks about what their depth chart might look like. The expectation is that Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison will be the starters, Trent Murphy and A.J. Epenesa primarily the backups and Darryl Johnson as the situational edge rusher.

The only question really is if the Bills will cut Murphy prior to the season to save a little over $8 million in cap space. However, the Buffalo Bills had only four defensive ends last year so they would be comfortable with that depth and also have players like Quinton Jefferson, who is a defensive tackle, that could rotate in if needed.

As for Woodard and Cox Jr., both have regular season experience but neither has been key contributors during their careers. For Woodard, he has played only six regular season games and has 10 career tackles and one sack.

Bryan Cox Jr. has more experience, with 25 career games, but his stats are limited with 30 total tackles and 0.5 sacks.

While there may be some surprises, if the Buffalo Bills want to get down to 80 players to avoid having to do split squad workouts, these are the seven players that would make the most sense.
