Predicting the Buffalo Bills 2020 Depth Chart: Interior offensive line

The Buffalo Bills were much improved in the interior of their offensive line in 2019.

With a fully rebuilt offensive interior, the Buffalo Bills significantly improved their play by the veteran signings they made.

The Bills added all three starters through the free agency process, starting with Mitch Morse who was signed to a four-year, $44.5 million deal which solidified the center spot. A job they struggled to fill since Eric Wood retired. Also adding Quinton Spain and Jon Feliciano to short term deals were essentially steals as both were key cogs in the Bills stellar season.

This offseason, Brandon Beane and company went out and signed veteran Evan Boehm to a one year contract to offer some depth as a backup center, who also has the ability to play the guard position. Also exercising Spencer Long‘s option for this season which was worth $4 million, the Bills will have plenty of capable depth on the interior in case of injury.

Ryan Bates has the versatility to play all along the offensive line, making appearances at even tackle last season, while being thought of as more of a center. Marquel Harrell who played guard at Auburn was brought in as an undrafted free agent, and they also have Ike Boettger who has been a part of the Bills roster and practice squad over the past couple of seasons.

With plenty of depth on the interior, the Buffalo Bills should have all returning starters from last season, unless one of them gets beat out for the spot.
