Zack Moss

Zack Moss was taken by the Bills in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 86th overall pick. The running back out of Utah has some promising potential and is a talented addition to Buffalo’s already solid stable of running backs.

It is being projected that Moss will play back up to Devin Singletary, who himself showed flashes of greatness in the 2019 season.

Moss’ numbers in college speak for themselves. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards each of his last three seasons at Utah and has also scored over ten touchdowns each of those seasons, including 15 during his senior year.

Unfortunately, Moss played in a conference that is seen as the weakest in college football by many analysts; the Pac-12. It remains to be seen if Moss is ready to make the leap from dominating his competition in college to producing tangible results in the pros.

An NFL preseason would have been perfect for a player like Moss who is looking to prove that he can live up to the hype he garnered when he was drafted. It would have given him valuable reps and playing time and he likely would have played nearly a full game in at least one of the preseason games.

Now that those games have been cut, Moss will have to make do with what he has. He will have to prove that he can handle the pressure of being an NFL running back. If Moss does end up being as good as projected, the Bills may have the best 1-2 running back punch in the league.
