Practice Squad: Christian Wade
The teams darling from last pre season spent all year on the Bills practice squad during the 2019 season, as he grew accustomed to the NFL.
The rugby star turned football player would have gained a lot of valuable experience last season, by learning from veteran Frank Gore and the coaching staff. Being 29 years old, Wade doesn’t have age on his side and could be hard pressed to play meaningful football in the NFL.
Everybody remembers this monumental run that Wade had on his first career touch:
Going untouched for a 65-yard touchdown was a dream start for Wade, while in the preseason Wade already has a memory which he and many others will remember forever.
While he could potentially morph into a core special teamer, next seasons seems too early so it will most likely be the practice squad for Wade, seeing as he signed a futures contract in January.
Practice Squad: Antonio Williams
The Bills undrafted free agent from the 2020 Draft will most likely be a candidate for the practice squad for the upcoming season.
Not putting up great numbers over his four year college career at North Carolina, only eclipsing 500 yards once, he doesn’t forecast to be a productive player in the pros.
Williams is most likely a body for camp and a potential candidate for the Bills practice squad.

Practice Squad: Reggie Gilliam
Playing tight end at Toledo, Gilliam has some some exciting tools that could force the Bills hand, and if it wasn’t because of a worldwide pandemic Gilliam would have a much better chance.
Finding himself on the practice squad is the most likely route, but don’t be surprised if Gilliam takes over for DiMarco in the 2021 season.
