Third-String: T.J. Yeldon

Being the only other back capable of carrying a load for the Buffalo Bills, Yeldon should slot in as their third back. With Taiwan Jones as a core special teamer and nothing more, Yeldon should be the first back to step in incase of injury to Singletary or Moss.

Appearing in six games last season for the Bills, Yeldon wasn’t a huge contributor as his rushing numbers were limited, but showed his receiving acumen racking up 124 yards through the air. Not being a huge special teams contributor, playing just 25.2% of snaps on special teams, he could become a frequent inactive much like last season.

Special Teams: Taiwan Jones

Playing in Buffalo in 2017 and 2018, Jones carved out a role as the teams special teams ace with McDermott during those years.

Spending 2019 with the Texans and ripping Bills fans hearts out with that a heart wrenching game winner in the playoffs (sorry), he is now back on the right side.

During his nine year career Jones has never been consistently used as a runner, and mostly as an ace on special teams, and that won’t change with the Bills.

Last season Jones appeared in 11 games, playing 51.5% of snaps on special teams for Houston, and only taking carries in a week 17 game that wasn’t crucial.

While being a pretty safe bet with his continuity with the coaching staff and veteran leadership, he won’t be asked to contribute in any capacity on the offensive side of the ball.
