Vosean Joseph

The first player on this list is linebacker Vosean Joseph, who was a fifth round pick by the Buffalo Bills last year. However, the linebacker didn’t get a chance to make an impact after suffering an injury in the preseason that resulted him landing on the injured reserve.

One of main focuses for this coaching staff during training camp is to find the replacement for Lorenzo Alexander, who retired after the 2019 season. The Bills did add veteran A.J. Klein in free agency and he seems to be the favorite to win the job.

Klein knows Sean McDermott‘s defense well, as he spent four years playing for McDermott when both were with the Carolina Panthers. He was a key part of their linebacker depth and spent time as a starter at outside and middle linebacker when he stepped in for an injured Luke Kuechly.

It would certainly make sense that Klein would be the favorite but Joseph did look good during the preseason last year. While he wasn’t able to get on the field, a year of learning and being around the team, should put him in good position to compete and possibly even win the starting job.
