Buffalo Bills: Stefon Diggs gets well deserved recognition with Madden 21 rating
The new Buffalo Bills wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, was recently ranked as the seventh best wide receiver in the upcoming Madden 21 video game.
While some Buffalo Bills seemingly didn’t get the respect they deserved with their ratings in the latest edition of the Madden video game, which will be released next month, the same can’t be said for wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The Buffalo Bills acquired Diggs in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings earlier this offseason and the new wide receiver is the highest rated player on the Bills with an overall rating of 92.
However, when that rating is put in context with the other wide receivers in the league, it is clear that Stefon Diggs is getting the recognition he deserves. The overall rating of 92 is good enough to be the seventh highest rated receiver in the game.
As a member of the Minnesota Vikings, Diggs has become one of the more consistent receivers in the league. The Vikings drafted Diggs in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft and he made an almost immediate impact.
In five seasons with the Vikings, he has had at least 50 receptions and 700 receiving yards every year. The past two years he has been even more productive with at least 1,000 receiving yards in each season and a total of 15 receiving touchdowns.
It is remarkable to think about the fact that Diggs has put up these type of numbers but has never been selected to a Pro Bowl or to either of the All-Pro teams.
This season, the Buffalo Bills are hoping that Stefon Diggs can be the missing piece to unlock this offense. He will likely get the most targets and should become Josh Allen‘s primary target. Even with the change in offensive scheme, Stefon Diggs has a good chance of making his first career Pro Bowl this coming season.
