Despite not putting up crazy box score stats with the Seattle Seahawks, Quinton Jefferson is a very efficient defensive tackle who brings a lot of versatility to the Buffalo Bills.
Quinton Jefferson wasn’t a household name around the NFL and rightfully so the casual Buffalo Bills‘ fan wouldn’t pick up on how good he was in his last two seasons in Seattle.
Playing in 14 games, starting 12 of those, Jefferson only finished with 3.5 sacks which won’t get any publicity, but the versatile defensive tackle consistently got to the quarterback despite not getting many sacks. Finishing with 10 quarterback hits, which was in the same company as star defensive tackles Fletcher Cox and Jurrell Casey, Jefferson can keep up with the best of the best. He also finished last year second on the Seahawks to just Jadeveon Clowney in pressures, who had 16.
In 2018, Jefferson was also very effective, playing in all 16 games, finishing with three sacks and an impressive 15 hits on the quarterback. He has shown a proficiency to get to the quarterback and create opportunities for others on the defense.
This is a closer look at what Quinton Jefferson will be bringing to an already talented defensive line for the Buffalo Bills.
