Why the Buffalo Bills will win
This is far from a foregone conclusion and even with Tom Brady no longer under center, the New England Patriots should not be taken lightly. The Buffalo Bills are still going to have their work cut out for them and with the two defenses in these games, the winner could be decided in the closing minutes.
One advantage the Bills will likely have going into both games is the familiarity Sean McDermott, and a number of current Bills, have with Cam Newton. McDermott was defensive coordinator for the Panthers for six years while Newton was their starting quarterback.
He has an up close look at the former first overall pick in practice during that time and it wouldn’t be surprising for Sean McDermott to have the perfect scheme in slowing down a dynamic player like Cam Newton.
This type of familiarity should give the Buffalo Bills an advantage and should help them win their first game against the New England Patriots in three years.
