Key Offseason Offensive Additions: Signed: RB Frank Gore, WR Breshad Perriman, OL Connor McGovern, OL Greg Van Roten, OL Alex Lewis, OL George Fant Draft: OL Mekhi Becton, WR Denzel Mims

Gang Green looked to be the most active team in the AFC East when it came to making moves on offense. It was clear as day that the New York Jets needed to improve their offensive line after allowing 52 total sacks last season and Le’Veon Bell having his worst season in years. Improving on those two stats alone will play a huge role in the development of Sam Darnold. The Jets quarterback needs time to stay in the pocket and get the ball to his playmakers which includes Bell in the passing game. The additions of Connor McGovern via free agency and the drafting of Mekhi Becton will go a long way in improving that. What was a weak offensive line will look drastically different come kick off this September.

The offense saw Robby Anderson depart for the Carolina Panthers in free agency, so there had to be a replacement. General manager Joe Douglas proceeded to fill that hole by signing free agent Breshad Perrmian from Tampa Bay. Even with that signing, the Jets still needed that speedy number one wide receiver and they feel they got that by drafting Denzel Mims out of Baylor. Add sneaky Jamison Crowder in the slot and you have a pretty decent wide receiver trio. The signings of Joe Flacco and Frank Gore will add some quality veteran depth to help Sam Darnold and Le’Veon Bell at their respective positions.

The rebuild is under way in the Meadowlands and this upcoming season will be a great indicator for head coach Adam Gase and the Jets to see if they have their franchise quarterback.
