San Francisco 49ers

The other big injury this past week was the San Francisco 49ers’ wide receiver Deebo Samuels, who suffered a foot injury while working out. This is a big blow to the 49ers offense as Samuels had a strong finish to the year and was expected to be the top wide receiver after Emmanuel Sanders left in free agency.

While the 49ers did use a top pick on Brandon Aiyuk during the 2020 NFL Draft, the group as a whole has some serious questions with Jalen Hurd, Kendrick Bourne and Dante Pettis. The offense could use an established veteran like John Brown. This would be a surprise as Brown is expected to be a key part of this offense and is coming off a 1,000 yard receiving season last year with the Bills.

The only way the Bills would consider trading Brown is if they are confident that Gabriel Davis could step in as a rookie. While he would bring back the most in a trade, the coaching staff probably isn’t quite there yet.

However, someone like Robert Foster could be the perfect player. The former undrafted free agent struggled last year after an excellent finish to the 2018 season when he finished with 541 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

He may not be an established option like John Brown but if the 49ers are looking for more players to compete, the addition of Robert Foster wouldn’t be a bad option.
