2019 proved that the Bills did not squander trading down for the 27th overall pick in the 2017 draft. Buffalo originally held the 10th overall pick but traded it to Kansas City who used it to draft superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Tre’Davious White quickly proved his worth as he made a bang in his rookie year. In 2017, White intercepted four passes on the way to being named to the Professional Football Writer’s Association’s All-Rookie team. He also helped lead the Bills to end their nearly decades long playoff drought.
White had a bit of a decline in 2018 but still managed to intercept two passes. However, last season proved that Tre’Davious White is a superstar cornerback in the NFL.
In 2019, White racked up countless individual awards. He led the NFL in interceptions, picking off six passes. His breakout season earned White his first Pro Bowl nod as well as being named to the NFL’s First Team All-Pro list.
Entering his fourth year into Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier‘s system, Tre’Davious White is poised to have a career among the likes of Deion Sanders, Champ Bailey and other all time great cornerbacks.
The McDermott era has more than proven that it knows how to find talent and Tre’Davious White is probably the best example of that.
