The 2010’s were a rollercoaster of emotions for Bills fans. It seemed like every season started strong and ended poorly until the arrival of head coach Sean McDermott. Let’s take a look back at some of the Bills’ most impactful players this past decade.
The Buffalo Bills enter the 2020 season with more hype than they have had in a long time. Both fans and the press are head over heels for the Bills as it seems they are becoming the darlings of the NFL once again. The team is loaded with talent and many are saying this could be one of the most loaded rosters in the league, with quarterback Josh Allen even garnering some MVP hype.
When Sean McDermott was hired in 2017, he did a lot of things right. First and foremost he ended a playoff drought that lasted nearly two decades. Secondly he, along with general manager Brandon Beane, brought in a group of young talent through the draft and free agency.
The future didn’t always look this bright for Buffalo however as the first seven years of this decade seemed to be an exercise in perpetual mediocrity that so many Bills fans are used to.
Even with the frustrating results of each season, there were flashes of greatness as the Bills had some genuinely solid stars throughout this past decade. Offensively and defensively, Buffalo had some consistent Pro Bowl talent that went unnoticed almost every season simply because those players donned the red, white and blue. Both the McDermott era Bills and the years leading up to it showed that the Buffalo Bills can occasionally find a diamond in the rough.
Now that Buffalo is finally close to contending again, it would be nice to take a look back at those players that had fantastic seasons for the time, despite the results of the scoreboard. In no particular order, here are the Top 5 Buffalo Bills of the 2010’s.
