Three defenses will finish in the Top 10 against the pass

This is certainly going to be a big year for Allen and Darnold while Tagovailoa and New England Patriots Jarrett Stidham will get their first taste of NFL football. However, divisional games for these four quarterbacks are not going to be easy as the division should have three of the top secondaries in the NFL.

This past season, the Patriots and Bills were near the top of the league in most passing defense categories, finishing second and fourth respectively in passing yards allowed. Both teams have premier cornerbacks in Stephon Gilmore and Tre’Davious White and bring back a majority of their starters. These are two groups that shouldn’t move very far in these rankings.

However, the Dolphins invested heavily in their secondary and should make a significant jump from 25th in passing yards against all the way up to the Top 10. The Dolphins already had one of the top corners in Xavien Howard but that didn’t stop them from adding Byron Jones in free agency and using a first round pick on Noah Igbinoghene.

These three cornerbacks are going to make it tough on opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers. There is no question it is going to be tough to move the ball through the air in these divisional games in 2020.
