Jerry Hughes moves up to fourth in sacks

The longest tenured Buffalo Bills player is Jerry Hughes, who will be entering his eighth season with the team. It is hard to imagine that Hughes made it this far as he was part of a trade with the Colts that didn’t make many headlines.

At the time he was bordering on bust-status but a change of scenery was exactly what he needed and he became a key part of this Bills’ defense. He currently 46.5 sacks for his career with the Bills, which is good enough for sixth all-time.

However, if he is able to register seven sacks this upcoming season he will move up to fourth all-time passing Kyle Williams and Cornelius Bennett in the process. Even though he did have a down year last season, the defensive end has surpassed seven sacks three times in seven years. It will be a bit of a challenge to break that mark but if he does he will cement himself as a Top 5 defensive end in Buffalo Bills franchise history.
