2. Wide Receiver

With one of the biggest moves all offseason the Buffalo Bills traded for Stefon Diggs who has all but solidified a very solid Bills wide receiver core. Along with Diggs the Bills will have John Brown opposite Diggs and Cole Beasley in the slot. Buffalo had one of the worst receiver groups in the league in 2018, now two years later they have one of the best in the league and that should help Josh Allen reach his potential.

Diggs enjoyed his best year to date in the NFL with 63 receptions for 1130 yards and 6 touchdowns with the Minnesota Vikings last season. His highlight tape is full of big plays and is one of the best deep ball receivers in the league, which should help Josh Allen fix his deep throwing woes. Brown finished the 2019 season with his second 1000 yard season of his career and added 6 touchdowns while Beasley had just under 800 yards on the season and 6 touchdowns. With all three receivers coming off career years  and with Beasley and Brown having career years with Josh Allen all signs are pointing up.

Buffalo drafted two bigger receivers to add some meat to the “smurfs” who the Bills used last year. Gabriel Davis stands at 6’2″ and 210 pounds and thrives in being able to go vertical and track down deep balls, it seems like with adding a few more deep threats to the team to try to get Josh Allen to improve on his deep throwing.  Isaiah Hodgins adds a contested catch aspect at 6’4″ and 210 pounds who should pose a threat to Duke Williams roster chances.

With Andre Roberts acting as one of the best kick returners in the NFL after making a Pro Bowl appearance last season he adds great value on special teams. Isaiah McKenzie is a good “gadget” receiver who thrives on jet touch passes and end arounds, he adds great versatility to the group who adds more to the team than Robert Foster. The starters possess a tremendous amount of talent in this group.
