Buffalo Bills: 3 reasons Stefon Diggs makes his first Pro Bowl in 2020
Moves to the AFC
Another reason that Stefon Diggs has a good chance to make the Pro Bowl is he will now be moving to the AFC. The talent at wide receiver is not as strong as the NFC so competition for Pro Bowl spots won’t be as fierce.
The five wide receivers selected to the Pro Bowl for the AFC last year were DeAndre Hopkins, Keenan Allen, Jarvis Landry, Tyreek Hill and Courtland Sutton. In looking forward to this coming season, DeAndre Hopkins is no longer in the AFC after the Texans traded him to the Arizona Cardinals and Keenan Allen is no longer catching passes from Philip Rivers.
Meanwhile in the NFC, there are wide receivers like Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, Davante Adams, Mike Evans and the previously mentioned Adam Thielen and DeAndre Hopkins. The competition is certainly much tougher in the NFC than the AFC. This will create a great opportunity for a player like Stefon Diggs to emerge and claim one of the spots as the top wide receiver in the conference.
