Buffalo Bills: 4 free agents to consider signing after 2020 NFL Draft
Mark Barron
Another linebacker the Buffalo Bills could consider is Mark Barron, who was formerly with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He would fill a little bit of a different role than Ogletree because he could realistically compete for the outside starting linebacker job with A.J. Klein.
Barron was a first round pick by the Tampa Bay Bucs and after three seasons joined the Los Angeles Rams where he made the shift from safety to linebacker. This is where he has made his living and could bring some versatility to the Bills’ defense.
There has been plenty of talk this offseason about who could fill the ‘big’ nickel role for this defense. There has been thought that this could be a role for Siran Neal, or the Bills may draft a safety like Kyle Dugger, however Barron is a veteran who knows that role well from being with the Rams and Steelers.
If the Bills don’t feel confident in Neal being the answer, a player like Barron could be a nice addition.
