The Buffalo Bills selected an interior offensive lineman and a cornerback in the latest mock draft by Pro Football Focus.

The Buffalo Bills could be one of the biggest wildcards in the upcoming NFL Draft. The reason is they have no first round picks but more importantly have no glaring holes on this roster. Outside of youth at defensive end and depth at running back and cornerback, GM Brandon Beane and this front office can go best player available for most of the Draft.

In the latest three round mock draft on Pro Football Focus, Mike Renner makes an interesting selection for the Buffalo Bills with their first pick in the second round at 54th overall.

"54. BUFFALO BILLS — IOL DAMIEN LEWIS, LSUThe Bills have one of the more complete rosters in the NFL but could still stand to upgrade at right guard. Enter Lewis, who bullied his way to an 82.3 run-blocking grade last season."

The idea of going with an interior offensive lineman at this point in the NFL Draft because this is not a pressing need but also has a great deal of depth. The team brings back both starters from last year in Quinton Spain and Jon Feliciano but also have Spencer Long on the roster as well as Cody Ford. He played right tackle for the Bills last year but could shift inside to guard.

It is hard to imagine the Buffalo Bills making this pick with a player like Josh Uche out of Michigan, or even J.K. Dobbins out of Ohio State, still on the board.

In the third round, the Bills address the depth at a key position with the selection of Cameron Dantzler out of Mississippi State.

"86. BUFFALO BILLS — CB CAMERON DANTZLER, MISSISSIPPI STATEDantzler is another prospect who won’t be a scheme fit for everyone with his 4.6-plus speed, but that describes Josh Norman and Levi Wallace, as well. He’s got terrific instincts and plays far bigger than his 188 pounds. Against LSU last year, he allowed only two catches on four targets for 13 yards."

The selection of Dantzler makes sense here as he is a good fit for Sean McDermott’s defense. Recently, we went into depth about Dantzler and his strengths could really be highlighted in this defense.

Next. Re-grading every pick by the Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft.. dark

This is only two of the seven picks the Buffalo Bills have but if they go guard, cornerback to start the 2020 NFL Draft there is still plenty of depth at running back to address the need but the depth at defensive end is a little shallower. This would be a tough position to find a contributor as a rookie in the later rounds.
