Round 6 – Darrynton Evans

As we get closer to the NFL Draft, one running back that is getting more attention has been Darrynton Evans. The Appalachian State running back really broke out last year with 1,480 rushing yards, 198 receiving yards and 23 total touchdowns.

Evans doesn’t fit the need of a powerful running back at 5’10 and 203 pounds and has a style that is very similar to Devin Singletary, who is 5’7″ and 203 pounds.

The addition of Evans would give the Bills another running back who can get to the edge and pick up yards in chunks, as evident of his 4.41 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He also has experience as a kick returner with 56 career returns for an average of 25.7 yards and three kick returns for touchdowns.

It is also worth noting that the Bills have already had a virtual meeting with Darrynton Evans, as reported by Matt Parrino.
