Round 7 – James Robinson

If the Buffalo Bills wait until the final round, a running back like James Robinson makes a lot of sense. At this point, the Bills should be looking for a specialist, and Robinson could be that short yardage, running between the tackles running back.

At 5’9″ and 217 pounds, Robinson is another powerful running back that typically doesn’t go down on first contact. Robinson played for Illinois State, a member of the FCS, and in the last two years there he had 3,189 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns.

However, he also had 569 rushing attempts, including an incredible 364 just last season. The durability concern should be a real one for Robinson but at this point in the NFL Draft, the Bills can afford to take that gamble.

If the Buffalo Bills are looking for strictly a between the tackler running back, and don’t want to select AJ Dillon in the fifth round, a running back like James Robinson makes perfect sense.
