Buffalo Bills 7-Round Mock Draft: Buffalo goes edge rusher first
Round 4, Pick 128: Zack Moss, RB (Utah)
The Buffalo Bills wait until the fourth round to find a running mate with Devin Singletary but get a diamond in the rough with Zack Moss out of Utah.
The senior got plenty of work over his final three seasons at Utah with at least 175 carries with over 1,000 rushing yards and double digit touchdowns each of those seasons. The one area that he really seems to excel in, and this is something Devin Singletary also does very well, and that is broken tackles.
According to Erik Turner at Cover1, there has been only two players at the collegiate level to have two seasons with a broken tackle percentage over 30% and that was Singletary and Moss.
The expectation was that the Bills want to get a bigger back to play alongside Singletary but by drafting a player like Moss, the coaching staff doesn’t have to change their play calling depending on who is on the field. This is a competitive advantage as defensive coordinators won’t be able to key in on certain plays depending on the personnel.
