Buffalo Bills: Four former players named to 2010s All-Decade team
The NFL announced who made the All-Decade team for the 2010s and the Buffalo Bills had four former players, including three former running backs.
The 2010s are not something that most Buffalo Bills fans look back fondly on although the last three years were much better than the first part. The Bills ended their playoff drought in 2017 and followed it up with their second playoff appearance in 2019.
However, prior to Sean McDermott joining the organization there wasn’t much to cheer about but the team did have some of the best players suit up for them as the Bills had four former players recently named to the All-Decade team for the 2010s by the NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Included in this group was three running backs with Marshawn Lynch, LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore all making the team. They were also joined by offensive tackle Jason Peters.
LeSean McCoy was the one player in this group to have the most success while playing for the Buffalo Bills. McCoy joined the Bills in 2015 in a trade that sent linebacker Kiko Alonso back to the Eagles. He played four seasons for the team, racking up 3,814 rushing yards, 1,334 receiving yards and 30 total touchdowns. McCoy also made back to back Pro Bowls in 2016 and 2017.
As for Marshawn Lynch, he only played four games during this decade for the Bills. He was originally drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft but was traded midway through the 2010 season to the Seattle Seahawks. He spent most of the decade with the Seahawks but spent two years with the Oakland Raiders before rejoining the Seahawks this past season.
Similar to Lynch, Frank Gore earned his spot on this All-Decade team from what he did outside of being a member of the Buffalo Bills. Gore only played one season for the Bills, which was last year, but did surpass an important milestone when he surpassed 15,000 rushing yards. He then later that season moved past Barry Sanders for third all-time in the category.

The final player on this list was offensive tackle Jason Peters, who the Buffalo Bills signed as an undrafted free agent. At the time, he was a tight end and actually caught the first career touchdown pass from J.P. Losman. He eventually moved to offensive tackle and a few years later was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
