Contract
This is once again a masterful job of Brandon Beane finding value in free agency with the signing of Daryl Williams. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Bills and Williams agreed to a one-year deal worth $2.25 million with a max value of $2.5 million with incentives.
According to Spotrac, Williams is the 22nd highest paid right tackle in the NFL this upcoming season. This is a steal for a player who has 41 career starts along the offensive line.
More importantly, it is a low-risk deal because it is only for one season. If Williams proves he can return to his All-Pro level of 2017, the Bills may have their long-term answer at the position. However, if he struggles he is at worse a depth option for a position that needed it.
