Buffalo Bills: Madden team overall ratings through the years
Madden 06
The Bills’ had a strong 94 rated defense but the team’s overall was only an 78. The defense was lead by their highest rated player Takeo Spikes at 97, Lawyer Milloy at 96, Nate Clements at 95, London Fletcher at 93, Troy Vincent at 92, Sam Adams at 90, and Aaron Schobel at 90. Lee Evans and J.P. Losman also received increased in their ratings in Madden 06 as well. With Evans increasing to an 87 and Losman to a 79. The Bills’ had a strong rated defense that year but finished the season with a 5-11 record making this season Mike Mularkey and general manager Tom Donahoe last season with the Bills.
Madden 07
Madden 07 was my very first Madden, I had it for the Nintendo GameCube and I played hours on it taking the Bills to the Super Bowl. This is the Madden that gave me the love for the game and the Madden that made me pay more attention to football in general. Brian Moorman was the Bills’ highest rated player in this year’s game rated at 98. Although who punts in Madden right? The team was rated at 79 in Dick Jauron first year as the Head Coach. This was also Kyle Williams first year with the Bills, who have been in each Madden until Madden 19. The Bills finished the year with a 7-9 record in the 2006 season which was 3rd in the AFC East.
Madden 08
Madden 08 was not a good year to be a Bills’ fan playing Madden. The team overall rating was a 67 in this year’s game. This was tied with the Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, and the Oakland Raiders for the worse record in the game, other than the NFL Europa Roster. Fun fact, the cover athlete for this edition was Vince Young, who would eventually join the Bills’ roster. The Bills’ top rated players were Aaron Schobel and Brian Moorman who were both rated at 94 overalls. Even with the Bills’ low overall the Bills ended the season 7-9 which was 2nd in the AFC East.
