Buffalo Bills: Four round mock draft with trades before free agency
By Casey Reed
Round Two, Pick 64: J.K. Dobbins, RB (Ohio State)
This is where the Buffalo Bills will find a lot of value in the draft’s second round. Brandon Beane picks up the phone and gives Seattle a call to ask them about pick 64. The Bills will be giving up their 4th round pick, pick 118, and a 5th round pick, pick 149, for Seattle’s second round pick, pick 64.
Seattle doesn’t have many draft picks in the later rounds of the draft and will need draft capital to fill out the many holes in their roster. Essentially grabbing an extra 4th and an extra 5th for this trade. Which leads to the Bills grabbing a running back that had a long slide at the draft in J.K. Dobbins.
J.K. Dobbins is an animal, he’s smooth at the point of attack and has the shiftiness to make players miss in the holes. Dobbins will quickly compliment Devin Singletary giving the Bills a nice one-two punch on the ground.
Dobbins had a great 2019 season which saw him put up 2,003 rushing yards on 301 attempts for an impressive 6.7 yards per attempt, and scoring 21 rushing touchdowns. J.K. Dobbins is a first round talent that has been forgotten during this long offseason, but luckily for the Bills he falls to their lap.
At pick 64 the Bills get a player who can come in immediately and run all over defenses.
