Round 4, Pick 118: Jonathan Greenard, EDGE (Florida)

Jonathan Greenard is another player the Buffalo Bills met with at the NFL Combine, a tall pass rusher at 6’3″,  263 pounds who dominated in the 2019 season racking up 50 total tackles, 9.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and one interception. He is great at the point of attack and has a great motor to not give up on the play. Greenard is also viewed by some scouts as a special teamer that can eventually jump into a starting role.

Greenard lone flaw might be his explosiveness off the line of scrimmage as he’s a tad slow and needs a fast one step burst. His technique also needs to be refined and worked on, but the Bills have a coach in Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier to help mold him into a great role player.

Finding depth on the defensive side of the ball will become a priority whether its in free agency or in the draft and a player such as Greenard in the fourth round is great value and could back up Shaq Lawson, if Lawson is brought back.
