Round 3, Pick 86: Cam Akers, RB (FSU)

Cam Akers 40 time should come as no surprise to folks who watched his film at Florida State. He was constantly under pressure and managed to elude traffic to hit that break away speed that he showed off at the combine.

Akers managed to run a 4.47 on his 40-yard dash which could push his value up to the second round. The former Seminole ran for 1,144 yards with a 5.0 yards per average behind a terrible offensive line, which has been non-existent since Akers arrived in Tallahassee.

He isn’t in the same tier as Jonathan Taylor but he would compliment Devin Singletary very well. It also also gives the Bills and Josh Allen a second option in the running game because Frank Gore is unlikely to come back.

Akers might not make it to the third round, but if the talent ahead of him pushes him back and he slides, the Bills will have no problem taking a player of his caliber in the third round.
