Round 2, Pick 54: Denzel Mims, WR (Baylor)
No one is having a better NFL offseason as a prospect than Denzel Mims. A stand out at the 2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl, Mims continued to prove to scouts he is an elite talent by going to the NFL Combine and showing off his speed and strength.
Mims played at Baylor and in 2019 he posted 66 receptions 1,020 yards on an average of an outrageous 15.5 yards per catch, and 12 touchdowns. Mims is not just a speed guy even though he posted a 4.38 on his 40 time at the NFL Combine. Mims shows excellent hands and ball tracking skills that can translate to a true number one receiver for the Buffalo Bills.
Denzel Mims is 6’3 216 pounds of pure dominance that can take over a game and help take Josh Allen to the next level. Mims’s performance at the combine might have skyrocketed him into the first round and out of the Buffalo Bills reach, but the theme of the offseason for the Bills is offensive playmakers. If Mims somehow escapes the first round and is there for the Bills at 54 the first two rounds of the draft will be a success.
