Buffalo Bills: 5 Round Mock Draft after the NFL Combine
By Casey Reed
Round 1, Pick 22: K’lavon Chaisson, EDGE (LSU)
K’lavon Chaisson is a pass rusher with potential to change the game at any point, his first step explosiveness is unparalleled in college football. Chaisson’s 2019 stats are nice considering he had just come off an ACL tear. Chaisson posted 6.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble with a combined 60 total tacks and two pass break ups.
K’lavon Chaisson met with the Buffalo Bills at the combine and is a player that fits Sean McDermott’s defense perfectly and would be one that he would love to have. Chaisson can cover running backs and can play the run extremely well, his 60 total tackles will back up that statement.
Chaisson’s only red flag is his medical. At 250 pounds, teams have expressed that they would like him to put on more weight to withstand the violent impact the game has. His ACL is better now but that has also worried teams. As of right now there hasn’t been a word about his medical at the NFL Combine coming back bad so for some teams that’s a giant thumbs up.
K’lavon Chaisson has the ability to wreck games in the forms of sacks or QB pressures if he does take a small drop in the NFL Draft. The Bills will either trade up for him or wait patiently for him to drop a little further. Scooping up Chaisson at pick 22 is the best case scenario for the Buffalo Bills.
