Round Four, Pick 118: Michael Pittman Jr.

Brandon Beane goes back to the wide receiver class, to add one more play maker, because why not? This draft class has the potential to the best wide receiver class in history, why not go back to the well and draft another big receiver?

Michael Pittman Jr. is a 6’4″ receiver who has an outstanding catch radius and should be flying up draft boards after the NFL Combine. He ended his 2019 season with an impressive 1,275 yards at 12.6 yards on average adding 11 touchdowns. He can play the slot and take over for Cole Beasley in a year or two, with strong hands and ability to play through contact.

Michael Pittman Jr. will need to work on being able to create separation, becoming a better route runner and working against press coverage will help in those regards. Pittman Jr. being a fourth round pick has the opportunity to sit and learn from Beasley, who is a savvy vet at creating separation.

Brandon Beane knows that getting wide receivers is a priority. The height of the wide receivers came into question many times last season and Pittman Jr. along with Ruggs III being north of six foot could solve many of the offensive problems.
