NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills have nine selections in the upcoming NFL Draft and the chances they will use all nine by the end of the weekend is unlikely. However, without knowing exactly how the board will fall or what trades become available, this is an NFL Draft that the Bills should be happy with and addresses a number of needs after free agency.

  • Round 1 (22) – Yetur Gross-Matos, DE (Penn State)
  • Round 2 (54) – J.K. Dobbins, RB (Ohio State)
  • Round 3 (86) – Denzel Mims, WR (Baylor)
  • Round 4 (118) – Solomon Kindley, IOL (Georgia)
  • Round 5 (137) – Davon Hamilton, IDL (Ohio State)
  • Round 5 (149) – Jack Driscoll, OT (Auburn)
  • Round 6 (168) – Harrison Bryant, TE (Florida Atlantic)
  • Round 6 (181) – Stanford Samuels III, CB (Florida State)
  • Round 6 (187) – Mohamed Barry, LB (Nebraska)

This would be an ideal draft for the Buffalo Bills based on the offseason outlined previously. The addition of Demarcus Robinson doesn’t make wide receiver as much of a pressing need so the Bills are able to select Yetur Gross-Matos. The former Penn State pass rusher should be able to compete for a starting job from Day 1.

In the second round, the Bills get a top tier running back in J.K. Dobbins to pair with Devin Singletary but then follow it up with a big body wide receiver in Denzel Mims in the third.

The following rounds are used for depth at different spots on the roster with players who could eventually take over for veterans currently at their position.
