James Bradberry

Even though Ron Rivera is no longer with the Carolina Panthers, there is no reason to shut off the pipeline from Charlotte quite yet. James Bradberry is another big cornerback at 6’1″ that could be the perfect compliment to Tre’Davious White on the other side of the field.

The Panthers drafted Bradberry in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft and Sean McDermott was actually his defensive coordinator for his rookie season.

However, Bradberry hasn’t really developed into that top-tier, lockdown cornerback and the Panthers could be ready to move on. If they don’t bring him back, a place like the Bills would be perfect. The reason is that while he isn’t a top tier cornerback, he would be a very good number two.

During his time with the Panthers, he was going up against Julio Jones, Michael Thomas and Mike Evans six times a year. By joining the Bills, that responsibility would fall on White and he would be tasked with shutting down opposing offenses second option. This would be a mismatch that would favor Bradberry.

The move would be a little more costly but at his age, and with his experience, this makes a great deal of sense for both sides.
