Cameron Artis-Payne

If the Buffalo Bills are looking for an inexpensive running back to add depth to this team, a running back like Cameron Artis-Payne would make some sense. He was a fifth round pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2015 NFL Draft but never really got a chance to see consistent snaps over his four seasons with the team.

The Panthers released Artis-Payne right before the start of this past season and wasn’t signed by another NFL team. He will likely now get his first chance since his time at Auburn to be the workhorse for an offense with the Dallas Renegades.

The addition of Cameron Artis-Payne to this offense could make sense as he brings a different skill set than Devin Singletary. He is a bruiser type back, one that isn’t afraid to run between the tackles and can pick up those tough yards in short yardage situations.

If he has a strong performance in the XFL, along with the Carolina Panthers connections, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Buffalo Bills brought him in for a closer look this offseason.
