Melvin Gordon

While Devin Singletary had an excellent rookie year, and the future is bright for him, the good NFL teams have more than one running back that they rely on. If the Buffalo Bills hope to truly elevate the position, a player like Melvin Gordon makes a great deal of sense.

Gordon will be a free agent this offseason after five seasons with the Chargers. While durability has been an issue, with only one 16 game season in his career, he is one of the top running backs when on the field. He is a true dual threat back with an average of just under 48 receptions per season the past four years.

He also has shown he is comfortable in a split backfield and the Bills could replicate what the Chargers have utilized the past few seasons by using Singletary similarly to Austin Eckler.

There would certainly be a hefty price tag associate with Melvin Gordon. However, the price could be worth it by combining the former Pro Bowl running back with Devin Singletary. This would give the Buffalo Bills the best running back tandem in the league.
