Melvin Ingram

The last player on this list is the Los Angeles Chargers’ defensive end Melvin Ingram. Once again this is a franchise that has some uncertainty about what the future holds with the potential of Phillip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Austin Eckler and Hunter Henry all set to be free agents this offseason.

If the Chargers elect to go with a young quarterback through the NFL Draft, they may look to move some of their older veterans for additional draft capital this offseason. One of those players could be defensive end Melvin Ingram.

Ingram, along with defensive end Joey Bosa, have been one of the top pass rushing tandems in the NFL the past few seasons. While Ingram has been selected to the Pro Bowl the past three seasons, he hasn’t had the biggest sack totals with only seven in each of the past two years.

However, at only 30 years of age, he still should have plenty of good football in front of him. He would be a nice fit as this defense’s top pass rusher and could be paired with another free agent signing to vastly improve this pass rush in 2020.
