Running Back: LeSean McCoy, C.J. Spiller

Who needs a fullback? On our All-Decade Team, we are going to use two halfbacks as both LeSean McCoy and C.J. Spiller make the cut.

Spiller was with Buffalo for five seasons after being taken at No. 9 overall in 2010. A star at Clemson, Spiller brought some explosiveness to the offense but never found consistency. Still, he was a stud in 2012 and 2013, even making the Pro Bowl in 2012.

That season, he had 1,244 yards rushing and six touchdowns while adding another 459 yards and two scores. In his Buffalo career, he finished with 3,321 yards and 12 scores while averaging five-yards per rush.

Still, he wasn’t as impactful as Shady McCoy. Added in 2015 in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, McCoy quickly became the focal point of the Bills offense. He made the Pro Bowl in his first three seasons with the team and topped the 1,000-yard mark in two of those years.

His best season was 2016 when he carried the ball for 1,267 yards and 13 touchdowns. McCoy was released ahead of this season and is now on the Kansas City Chiefs. Had it not been for their belief in Devin Singletary, McCoy might have gotten one more year in Buffalo.

As it stands, he’s still the best running back they’ve had during this past decade and deserves this honor.
