The Buffalo Bills are in the playoffs once again. Even with a spot locked up, they need to give in their all the next two weeks with the AFC East open.

The last time that Tyler Kroft found the end-zone foregoing the Steelers game had him still sporting the Bengals uniform in 2017. This was a historical game to Bills Mafia as the Bengals upset the Ravens which clinched a playoff berth for the Buffalo Bills.

This ended the embarrassing-frustrating-depressing generational playoff drought that plagued the city in historical fashion for 17 long years. Kroft caught two touchdown passes in that game that was meaningless to the Bengals as they were simply playing spoiler.

Again this past week, Kroft was integral to clinching a playoff spot as he caught the game-winner against the Steelers that clinched their berth this season.

The young tight end did a nice job running the route and catching the pass from Josh Allen. The throw was simply brilliant. Kroft has battled some injury issues since arriving in Western New York. He may be coming around at the perfect time as far as being an end-zone target.

I am well aware of the fact that it is quite a task for the Bills to win the AFC East at this point. They are going into a hostile environment playing a top-rated defense. This game is salient to New England.

The Patriots need to win this game so no players will be resting. This defense and coaching staff in Boston is the defense that came into Orchard Park earlier this season and made Josh Allen struggle to basically do anything. Some fans are content with the Bills securing a playoff berth already.

I will poke the bear and proclaim that any of the Bills playoff drought seasons that had them mathematically alive did not have fans stating “why bother?” No way. Until they were mathematically eliminated everyone was passionately cheering them on. If the Bills did not do their part in 2017, Any Dalton’s touchdown pass against Baltimore would be absolutely irrelevant.

That being said, until a team is crowned division champions, you play your hearts out to win. If they do not beat New England, then the conversation can change. All I know is that the Patriots have tormented the Bills for twenty years. They have tortured Bills fans since the afternoon Mo Lewis sent Drew Bledsoe to the hospital opening up the window for Brady.

Bill Belichick has not been propitious to the Bills either. That goes back before he teamed up with Tom Brady. Belichick coached the Giant’s defense in Superbowl 25 which kept the high powered K-gun offense somewhat contained. By doing so, the game came down to the legendary missed Norwood kick. I digress.

Belichick also was the defensive coordinator of the New York Jets when Flutie was having a pro-bowl homecoming to the NFL after a decade in the CFL. Flutie was shocking team after team with his athleticism and football intelligence as he simply commanded that huddle like a general.

When he met The Jets, Belichick came in with four linebackers and four defensive backs holding Flutie in the pocket. Not allowing him to run because of a spy assigned to him and suffocating him restricting him from making magical tosses on the run. He simply did not have the arm to beat that defense with his arm and arm alone.

I want to see the changing of the guard like everyone else. But I hear fans on every talk show talking about the Bills going into New England and beating the Patriots with authority. Humility is never a bad thing. The Pats came into your building this season and won. They are 11-3. Buffalo is a good team with a great defense.

New England has won six SuperBowls. They have been to the AFC championship game eight consecutive seasons. They have been to 11 SuperBowls, nine of them being during the Tom and Bill Dynasty. The Bills have won an impressive 10 games. They have clinched a playoff spot with two games left which is absolutely amazing for a potential Wild Card team. They have done nothing yet to unseat the Patriots. Just saying.

To steal lyrics from the song Marv Levy sang for his team: “Go Bills! For we are here to cheer for you. Go Bills! We are your fans so true. With victory in sight. We’ll yell with all our might. So, Go Bills! Fight Bills! Go! C’mon, let’s win for Buffalo!”

I shall now focus on The Rise Of Skywalker. Then I shall circle back to the Bills and it’s game on.
