The Buffalo Bills Daily Roundup brings you all the news you need to know, including defensive back Tre’Davious White being named to his first Pro Bowl

Tre’Davious White has been the best defensive player on the Buffalo Bills this season. He may even be the best overall player on the team which is why he was the lone member of the team to make the Pro Bowl.

There were other deserving players but that’s for a different day. As for White, he’s tied for the league lead in interceptions and took over against Pittsburgh in prime-time this past weekend.

It was the first time in his three years in the NFL that he was awarded a trip to the All-Star game.

Buffalo Bills News

Tre’Davious White named to first Pro Bowl — Chris Brown, BuffaloBills.com

"“He’s tied for the league lead in interceptions and for most of the season has been among the top cornerbacks in lowest opponent passer rating when targeted. So on Tuesday evening it was anything but surprising to see Tre’Davious White named to his first career Pro Bowl.”"

Tre’Davious White is having a great season and deserves this honor. He’s one of the best corners in the game and continues to prove that week in and week out — just as he did when he helped turn the tide against Pittsburgh in Week 15.

Bills-Patriots: Tony Dungy expects New England’s offensive woes to continue versus Buffalo — Ryan Talbot, Syracuse.com

"“They’ll score 13 points on offense against Buffalo next week,” Dungy said NBC’s Week 15 Recap."

Dungy is bold with this claim but it makes sense. Week 16 features a struggling offense and a surging defense. This feels like Buffalo’s best chance to knock New England down a peg.

Contract extensions for Bills’ Sean McDermott, Brandon Beane a no-brainer — Vic Carucci, Buffalo News

"“For the first time in a long time, the Buffalo Bills have gotten it right at the top of their football operation. Now, it’s time for ownership to do the right thing and extend the contracts of coach Sean McDermott and General Manager Brandon Beane. They’ve earned it.”"

It’s hard to argue against an extension here. Carucci points to the team making the playoffs in two of the past three seasons as evidence that this duo has gotten things right. He also says they’re no longer a “standing joke” as they’ve become a team to take seriously.

Bills are America’s Team in Week 16

It’s not hard to root against the Patriots and it’s easy to root for the Bills. That makes them America’s Team this weekend as they take on the defending Super Bowl champions.
