Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Doug Flutie is brining back ‘Flutie Flakes’ as he is raising money for his charity organization
He was only with the Buffalo Bills for three seasons but Doug Flutie quickly became a fan favorite — and still is to this day. And now, 20 years after he first suited up for the Bills, he’s bringing back his famous ‘Flutie Flakes’ cereal.
When the Bills host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, the cereal will be for sale at New Era Field. Flutie will also be on hand as well as he is being honored as a ‘Legend of the Game’.
The cereal was released in 1998 when a 36-year-old Flutie had just joined Buffalo. Originally a backup Flutie ended up starting 10 games and was 7-3. He was even named to the Pro Bowl that season — his one and only trip.

Flutie’s cereal is being sold to help raise money for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism and is going to be sold online at Wegman’s according to the article by Rothstein. Flutie was a star in the NFL, USFL, and the CFL. He played in the NFL until the age of 43 despite being undersized at just 5-10.

Funny what happens when a guy starts to get some weapons around him. For whatever reason, Josh Allen was a polarizing figure in the 2018 NFL Draft and people were quick to dismiss him. But now that he has the Bills winning, they’re starting to realize that he was well worth the investment. And the best part is, he’s still learning the game.
