Levi Wallace

During the offseason, it may not have been a huge surprise to hear a prediction that after two games in the 2019 season, there would be a Cincinnati Bengal leading the NFL in receiving. The fact that this team has A.J. Green, one of the best at his position, and Tyler Boyd, who had a breakout season last year, would not raise too many eyebrows.

While the Bengals do have a player leading the league in receiving, it is not Green, who has yet to play this season due to injury, or Boyd. It is in fact John Ross III, who has 270 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the first two games.

This is why Levi Wallace will be one of the key players on defense against the Bengals as the coaching staff will likely want Tre’Davious White lined up across from Tyler Boyd. The second year cornerback has played well through the first two games, which has been a continuation of a strong rookie season with the Bills.

This will certainly be a tough challenge for Wallace as Ross has incredible speed and can run by almost anyone in the NFL. However, if this next player is able to have a big game, it will only help Wallace’s chances of containing Ross.
