T.J. Yeldon

The veteran running back has been almost non-existent through the first two games of the season with no carries or catches to this point. However, if Singletary does miss Week 3, that will likely change for Yeldon against the Bengals.

This game is the perfect chance for Yeldon to have a breakout game, and he could even be considered a sleeper for anyone needing running back help for their fantasy team.

The Bengals rank as the third worst defense against the run, giving up 165.5 yards per game on the ground. They have also given up 10 receptions and over 100 receiving yards to running backs over that span. This certainly could play right into Yeldon’s hands based on his skill set.

While Frank Gore will likely remain the lead back, Yeldon is the better pass catcher. The coaching staff will likely try to manage Gore’s workload, who is 36 years old, and avoid relying on him exclusively. It would not be surprising to see Yeldon finish this game with 15 touches.
