Josh Allen

If you are talking impact players for the Buffalo Bills, then you have to start with quarterback Josh Allen. The second year rookie is entering this season with very high expectations that he can take that next step in his development. The hope is that he can continue to show the signs that he is the franchise quarterback that many believe he can be.

This preseason was very much up and down for Allen and while there was great moments, like his performance against the Carolina Panthers, there was times that fans had to look away, like his interception against the Detroit Lions that was called back due to a penalty.

There is no question about Allen’s ability to be a playmaker from the pocket with his feet, which was something he showed last year. It will be interesting to see how Allen’s decision making improves this year when throwing the ball, especially against an aggressive defense like the one Gregg Williams likes to run. He will need to be decisive, get the ball out quick and throw it accurately.

This will be a good first test for Josh Allen to see what improvements he made in the offseason.
