Tremaine Edmunds will lead team in interceptions

It is not common for a linebacker to lead a team in interceptions but that is exactly what Tremaine Edmunds could do this season. The second-year linebacker had two interceptions as a rookie and the focus this offseason has been ways for Edmunds to improve his pass coverage.

During the joint practices with the Carolina Panthers this summer, Leslie Frazier praised Edmunds improvement in this area:

"“Bob does a lot of work with Tremaine,” Frazier said. “His maturation over the last few weeks has been tremendous. The area we wanted to work on over the summer was really his man to man coverage. We talked about that prior to his going away on summer break. You can see by the way he’s practicing he’s improved in that area.”"

The Bills defense has one of the best secondaries in the league so it would not be a surprise if opposing teams try to attack the middle of the field. This is where Edmunds can use his athleticism to step into throwing lanes and make plays.
