Trent Murphy will have double digit sacks

The Buffalo Bills have only had one player record 10 or more sacks in a season in the past four years, which came in 2016 when Lorenzo Alexander had 12.5. However, Trent Murphy should join Alexander in 2019 and record double digit sacks this season.

Last year, was a disappointing season for Murphy after signing a three-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in the offseason. He dealt with injuries throughout the year and never really looked to be in a rhythm but was still able to record four sacks.

Enter this year, and Murphy has gotten rave reviews from coaches and looks ready to play a key role in this defense going forward. The combination of a strong secondary, which will force quarterbacks to hold the ball a little longer than they would like, along with great talent across the defensive line with Ed Oliver and Jerry Hughes should give Murphy beatable match ups that will allow him to rack up the sacks.
