Buffalo Bills: 4 Players with the most to prove in 2019
Devin Singletary
While Devin Singletary is only a rookie, the Buffalo Bills front office has put a lot of trust in the young back. The Bills over the weekend elected to cut the featured back of this offense, LeSean McCoy, creating an opportunity for the Singletary to play a substantial role in this offense this year.
As noted before, the average career of NFL players is only 3.3 years and these types of opportunities don’t come around often. The Bills offense, while they do have new weapons at wide receiver, is still going to rely heavily on the run game. This presents Singletary with a tremendous opportunity.
While the Bills do have depth with Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon, and all three running backs will see snaps during the course of the game, Singletary is the future at the position. The coaching staff will be looking to Singletary to establish himself in that role this season and beyond.
